As a Christian pastor I am outraged by these extremist demonstration, just a few weeks ago we commemorated Martin Luther King's 60th anniversary on his historic march on Washington. A march that stood for justice and equality. As Christians, it is imperative that the church speak out against incidences like these. Racism, anti-semitism, and homophobia, are sins that need to be called out in our society.
This type of hateful activity has no place in our community. I enjoin you as your pastor not to minimize instances of racism like this in our culture or stay silent about it. We cannot normalize this behavior.
"Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
John 4:20 Those who say, “I love God” and hate their brothers or sisters are liars. After all, those who don’t love their brothers or sisters whom they have seen can hardly love God whom they have not seen!
Let's work together to promote understanding, kindness, charity, and acceptance in the name of Jesus.
